On the AirMedic Pro 5 & Pro 6 series Air Purifiers, Air flows through the air cleaner in the following way. Contaminated air is drawn through the bottom of the air purifier, then goes through the Pre-filter, then through the activated carbon filter, then through the Medical Grade True HEPA filter, then clean air is vented out through the top of the unit.
